You will find here a few details that aren't mentionned in the documentation.

• if you have rooms with different extra bed capacities, you need to create several extra costs as follows:
  • for each extra cost, allow different maximum number of beds (i.e. for max 2 beds: “Multiply the cost by: Ask. Maximum number:2”)
  • make each extra cost incompatible with the rooms/rates you DO NOT want to be selected
• interconnections: please be aware that extra costs are not taken into account when calculating prices for booking.com (i.e. you need to create specific rates including the extra bed cost), they can only be used to set a minimum stay (costs associated to a booking.com rate “always in permitted periods” with a minimum number of days), or with a null price and without restrictions (for example for cleaning days).

• extra beds will be added automatically when necessary, but this works currently (v2.2.2) only with the FIRST CREATED extra cost that was set as an extra bed (i.e. “Consider this extra cost as an extra bed(s)? YES”); if you have set up several extra bed costs and want a different one to be added, you need to select it manually on reservation insertion
• extra beds will be added automatically when necessary, but only if the biggest available room has a capacity smaller than what is needed (e.g. for a reservation of 3 people, Hoteldruid will first assign a room of maximum capacity 4, before assigning a double room with one extra bed)
• when inserting a reservation where you need extra beds, you have two options:
  • either you insert the total number of people and let Hoteldruid pick extra beds as needed (Hoteldruid will only use the first created extra bed cost, see above)
  • or you insert the number of people without extra beds, and then select the extra bed cost you created and multiply it as needed
• the number of people of reservations with extra beds will appear with a “+”, showing how many extra beds are used (e.g. “number of people: 2+1” has 3 people, of which 1 extra bed)
• when changing the number of people of a reservation with extra beds, you should first change the number of extra beds before changing the “regular” number of people
