Assign extra cost automatically to 1 app of 5 (rate) only

Hello everybody,

I have incompatibility problems to assign extra cost automatically for a single apartment which is one of five apartments of a rate. Following 2 scenarios illustrate the problem:

A]
---
Rate 1 'Single Room', 50 Euro per day, linked to apartments No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
Extra Cost: balcony/distant view 10 Euro should be assigned to apartment 5 automatically

Selection of option <assign to rate 1 'single room' automatically> is 'wrong/incongrous' to option <incompatible with apartments 1,2,3,4> (only app. no. 5 should remain).

B]
Rate 1 'Single Room', 50 Euro per day, linked to apartments No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
Extra Cost: 'short time booking' 10 Euro should be assigned to apartment 5 automatically, if time to start of the reservation is less then 10 days.

What can I do?
I could define a new rate 'Single Room Plus' for 60 Euro without extra cost assignment, but this would restrict the reservation machinery to look for free availabilities EITHER in rate 'Single Room' (apps. 1,2,3,4) OR in rate 'Single Room Special' (app. no. 5), but not in all apartments together.

Thank you for help.
Frank from Germany

You should create the new rate 'Single Room Plus' and leave apartment 5 also in the 'Single Room' rate, there is no obligation to have an apartment only in one rate.

Why not try three rates, Single Room at 50€ priority 1,2,3,4,5
Single R,oom Balcony at 60€ priority 5
Single Room, short stay at 60€, priority 5,4,3,2,1 or use math to apply that rate to any stay less than 1 week, etc

Just a thought
