adding variables in reservation table

Post by cheyenne »

Hi Marco,

I am very happy that you made it possible for us to use your system and my compliments for your work. What I want to know is, if it is possible to add more variables in the reservation form so that the clients don't have to fill a lot when they receive their reservation form. I hope you understand what I mean and I thank you in advance for your patience with us,

Kind regards,

Cheyenne

Hello,
You can choose the fields of the reservations table from c"configure and customize". You can choose also the fields of the availability template when creating it and add custom ones.

Hi Marco,

Thanks for your reply. I deleted the internet template everytime when I make a new one but it didn't save the changes I made. Maybe you know why? So I look in the file availability template and change some of the variables into "Yes" but I can't find where I can make the custom form fields to show. I hope you understand what I mean,

Kind regards,

Hello Cheyenne,
to "save" the changes you make you must leave the template where it has been created, with the same name. You can change the directory where the template is created in "configure and customize", to create the template in the parent directory of php-residence use "../". Otherwise if you want to move/rename the template just copy it without deleting the original file.

So making a copy called "availability_template.php" of your current template to the dati folder should give you the options you selected when you create a new one.

Hi Marco,

I am gonna try what you said about the template. What I am wondering to do is, where or which file I can modify to make a logical order of the reservation form fields? I try to change them in the availability file but without success. I would like that the street and house number etc appear before the Region etc. Can you help me out once more?

Thanks,

Cheyenne

Hello,
if you want to change the order you could use custom fields instead of the default fields.
