I have just updated to 2.2.1.
Everything appeared to go as in the past. Except I changed file permissions to 777.
However when I attempted to access "availability_tpl.php" I received a "500 internal server Error"
So, I attempted to use the BackUp file I created before updating and received an error message (in Italian) "The current version of HotelDruid and that of the file does not coincide."
I repeated the whole update process (incase something had been corrupted during ftp transfer). Still the same result.
Could my changing file permissions to 777 have caused the problem?
My main Directory is still "php-residence" could this have caused the problem?
I'm also asking for support from my Hosting Service as well.
I do hope for some help - as I'm now off-line.

Re: Problems following Program Update
Did I understand you correct? You've booked a hosting service for hoteldruid? Then it is better you contact Marco directly.
* Befor you restore your backup empty the directory your installation resides.
* An error in .htaccess often leads to an error 500. Do you have a .htaccess?
* Install it according to the readme-file shipped with hoteldruid.
Regards
Frank

Re: Problems following Program Update
Thanks Frank - I'm not sure what the .htaccess is - but in the end I resolved the problem by once more following the update instructions - except that I didn't try and change permissions using Filezilla.
I think that my server is highly sensitive to anything that happens outside the Hotel residence Application.
Anyway, as I said - I'm about to move to managed hosting.

Fine!
.htaccess is a special file with instructions to configure the webserver.
Kind regards
Frank
