Download files from dati folder

Directly downloading files from the dati folder seems to be impossible. The access rights do not allow this.
Changing the file attributes for more access rights does not work either
How can I download these files to my local PC?

That depends on your server. Try contacting your server support. My server's control panel allows you to go into the file manager, then clicking on the file folder icon puts you into that folder, while clicking on the name allows you to do things to it. - edit, delete, move, copy, download, run, etc.

Thanks for your reaction. I did already. My ISP told me the files had NO owner so I was not allowed to make modifications. Is is not clear why this is the case

Some hosts do this. It's a question, IMHO, of incompetent Apache administration. I ran into this type of thing trying to run a Joomla extension to do what PHP-Residence does. The quick answer is get another host, but I'd ask your server support if getting a new host is your only option.....some people respond to threats!
If he has the skills, he can reset the ownership to you or to whatever user you are when you go in through your control panel. Or just reset the permissions to allow you to download it, then lock it back up after for you.
If he doesn't have the skills, why are you paying him?

Anyway there should be no need to download those files, you can backup them from within php-residence and if you want to modify internet templates code do it directly from the "templates of the templates" in the includes/templates/ directory (but advice not doing this as you may have problems if you want to upgrade to newer versions).
