i see in the demo that money from paid reservation appears in the cash box on a fresh install if i choose "paid" for one reservation, the money is not transfered in the cash box did i miss something?

The money is transferred in cashbox when you insert a receipt and check the corresponding option. For example at the end of each day you can count the money that came from reservations and insert it in the cashbox, so you can see if there are any errors.
