Graphical map showing occupated areas for Camping

Hi, I have recently installed Hotel Druid, which I found in the Ubuntu Software Center, and I am very happy about it because it ends a long time search for a good booking software; well done Marco !

The thing I would like to see, as camping booking activity, is a graphical map of pitches with a color coded occupation status of each pitch, so that we could see - at a glance - the free, booked or occupied pitches.

The map should be drawn by the admin and rooms (pitches) should be assigned to each area, so as to give an idea of geographical position of them.

Hope this can be done, and I believe that it would open up to a great number of camping managers.

Thank you and keep the good work up.

Regards, Giorgio

Hi,

My wife and I own a campground and have been working to get hoteldruid "tweaked" to suit our needs. We used hd last season and it worked pretty well. This year, we've been training new staff so are only just now getting around to using hd again. I would be interested in chatting with you or any others who are using hd to manage reservations on a campground or RV park.

I wonder, has anyone been able to do this with the current data already in the system?

My thought is perhaps Google can be used to create a base map

https://www.google.com/earth/outreach/learn/visualize-your-data-on-a-custom-map-using-google-my-maps/

Site numbers might have to reference the pin points, those pin points might need to be linked to a Longitude, Latitude table.
