Unable to change Availability Page

I have been using the same Availability Page for years - but I've made some changes on the website and want to reflect new background colours and fonts on the availability page.
I change the HTML but when I press "create Availability page" (or something like) I get an error:
"Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /php-residence/crea_modelli.php on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."
Permissions on "crea_modelli.php" are 0644 whilst the dati directory is 0755.
Anyone any suggestions? Would I do better to make a back-up (including documents?) and then delete everything and reinstall using the back-up?
