Rate changes after reservation is shortened

If I insert a reservation for example from February 10-20 and the price is 10 EUR per night, the total is 100 EUR.

Now my hotel is getting full and I decide to change the rate to 20 EUR. Reservations already made remain at 10 EUR/night, that is correct and php-residence supports that.

But when a client calls and wants to shorten his stay to for example February 11-20 or February 10-19, when I change the reservation php-residence changes all nights to the new, higher rate, 20 EUR per night so the total is now 180 EUR. This is not the expected behavior. I think the norm in hospitality industry is to honor the lower rate for changing reservations already made unless there were restrictions to get this rate that are no longer met (for example, 10 nights minimum or check-in on Friday or something else).

Can this considered a bug or is it a feature request?
