Thinking of trying PHPR v. 0.6 - phpMyAdmin Host Compatible?

I am a newbie here and would love to try out PHPR to see if we can use it for self-service booking for our Hutong Courtyard B&B in Beijing.

Have MySQL v. 3.23.58 and phpMyAdmin v. 2.8.0.3 available to me on a Virtual Server provided by easiliy.co.uk.

I thought this was pretty up to date (it is running a full latest version of a PHP/MySQL Online Shop for instance) but looking at the readme on v. 0.6 of PHPR, it is asking for:
php (>=3.0.18 ) with extension for postgresql or mysql -postgresql (>=7.4.7) or mysql (>=3.23.49)

Have to go way back to older versions of PHP Residence to see MySQL compatibility and nothing mentioned about it working with just PhpMyAdmin.

Anyone out there running PHP Residence with PhpMyAdmin? And which version of MySQL?

Cheers,
Nigel

Hi!

The Version of PhPMyadmin has nothing to do with the installation of PHPR.
You have to check your PHP-Version!!! And your MySql is ok anyhow.
And if it is not working, try the hosting service of Marco.

I tried installing anyway and it all went in first time, just a slight glitch with the template permissions, which seems to be answered elsewhere in this forum.

For any other Newbies - installation is easier than you may think.

So now I will be evaluating this for B&B daily booking use - thanks.
