Hi,
I am looking for a solution for the calculation of the deposit. Normally, the deposit is calculated as follows:
Deposit = 40% of the stay (before canadian tax) or at least 1 night
Solution??
Thanks - Olivier

Re: Formula for Deposit
Hi Olver,
That's basics actually.
Go to the page 'insert prices'. Set up at least one tariff with the periods that have to be calculated in the active year. I suggest the daily base and inserting the rates to all of the days in year.
Once done this, scroll down in the page 'insert prices' to 'Deposit' and find the sentence that starts with 'The normal deposit for [name of your tariff]' is:
Choose the radio button on top, enter 40 in the first field and in the second field the amount to be rounded (defaults to ten).
The complete sentence will then sound like this:
The normal deposit for tariff1is: the 40 % of the rate rounded to 10 CND.
CND is the currency set up in the configuration and might be different. I put CND there because I assume you deal with Canadian dollars. Deleting the 2nd field 'rounded to _ CND' will deactivate rounding function and return values calculated 40 % of the total stay (cents etc.).
You can prepare the privilege settings that the deposit can be changed when one of the users adds a booking manually as well.
Does this provide the info you need?
