Re: Did we really need icons?
Hi yall, Under the bottom line HotelDruid is an IT project. Who ever has worked with IT projects before knows that the better the requirements are formed, the better the result will be. On the other hand, shit in=shit out. Please stop criticizing every new attempt that Marco does. There are lots of ...

Re: One database for multiple computers
Hi absintheur, Depending on configuration and acessability you can reach one and the same databas from globaly any end points without problem. But your question is rather directing to backing up the database, kind of redistrubute, right? You can do so by using the subordination built in HotelDruid. ...

Re: data import / exprot
.. just to correct my last post: I've found out that the export can be made for several bookings be accessing the month table und underneath of it choose the document that you want to execute. This gives a wonderful export of all bookings, rooms, financial info and so on in a csv file as Martin desc...

Re: data import / exprot
Hi Martin, That's nice, works as document for every single reservation like a charm. What I would love to have is some kind of bulky export, stating all reservation of a week or month that can be determined. This would help us with the countability and save much time. On what concerns the date separ...

Channel manager, quo vadis?
Dear all, Let's find out with the hosting clients who are working with channel manager which OTAs and/or services are important, nice to have or simply no longer interesting. Please contribute to generate a big picture of what's going on in the market. I'm sure this way we can achieve something, som...

Hosting @ digitaldruid and individual design
Dear all, The hosting services is per se quite static for all the same on what concerns the files. It makes perfect sense to consolidate the functions when it comes to provide a stable service, improving a feature and make it accessible to all clients or distributing new releases. On the other hand,...

Subordination with easy automated update (no wget needed)
Dear all, Some of you need to copy the master instance of HotelDruid to a slave. There are may reasons for this, one might be your internet connection is not so stable, thus you need local off line access. It is also the simplest backup solution you can have. If you are looking for the solution, ple...

Re: Understanding units repetition loop and conditions in Do
+1 in the wait list for any further info about this. This will enable proper listing of all extra costs, eg. consumption at the bar, on the generated invoices.
On thing is clear, repetition loop will not work on multilingual base.

Re: Hoteldruid on Raspberry Pi
Hi Martin, Raspberry Pi is a cool approach for self hosters, a little ubergeeky perhaps? I find it interesting as it surely uses very little electrical energy which could even be arranged by solar panels. So you could do your very own thing, real green IT and totally autonomic. Not for everyone, but...

Re: Formula for Deposit
Hi Olver, That's basics actually. Go to the page 'insert prices'. Set up at least one tariff with the periods that have to be calculated in the active year. I suggest the daily base and inserting the rates to all of the days in year. Once done this, scroll down in the page 'insert prices' to 'Deposi...

Re: TimeZone Setting
Hi ashish, Sorry for this late reply, I've just got my access to this forum some days ago. You probably have found the solution, but other ones might have the same challenge to manage. This has to do with the php settings for date and time. I suggest you adapt the php.ini file according to your loca...

Re: sticking posts and first steps short manual
... sorry, I've forgotten 2 step I've done here as well. First of all harden security of your HotelDruid by giving good privileges to the folders and files with CHMOD. Generally speaking give 755 for all the folders and 664 for the files. It works fine for me up until now, but I have no guarantee th...
