Re: Guest of reservation?
Hello Marco, Thanks for the reply. This is very helpful. I have a couple of follow ups: 1) We collect client information using the "custom fields for clients" options. I see the fields for the titular client, but not for the guest(s) of the titular. I figured out a way to fill these fields...

Guest of reservation?
I think I'm not understanding what "Guest of reservation" means in Hoteldruid. Can someone explain what that is? I'm trying to understand if this will allow us to create "grouped" reservations. We get a lot of reservation requests for multiple units. We want to track these units ...

Re: Graphical map showing occupated areas for Camping
Hi, My wife and I own a campground and have been working to get hoteldruid "tweaked" to suit our needs. We used hd last season and it worked pretty well. This year, we've been training new staff so are only just now getting around to using hd again. I would be interested in chatting with y...

Re: PHP 7
Version 7.0.18-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 is working fine for me. Mark I updraded my site to PHP 7. After the upgrade I could nog login to my backoffice anymore. Resetting to 5.6 solved the problem. I cannot find anything on the forum on this subject because "php" keyword is nog accepted as a search...

Re: Automated Hoteldruid Backups?
Hi Matteo46, Thanks for your reply. Sorry I didn't see your reply until now. I thought I would get an notification on this thread but I didn't. I went down this same path before I heard about the builtin backup/restore feature. Ultimately, I'm trying to build a link between two installs to push chan...

Re: Suppress fields in "insert client" page
Thanks Marco
That's a much better solution!
I don't mind managing customizations. It's pretty easy since I manage my changes to your code with git.
Thanks again,
Mark

Re: Automated Hoteldruid Backups?
Hi Marco, Should this approach to automated backups still work with version 2.1.4? I tried a couple of wget calls in a bash script substituting real values for the variables as such: #! /bin/bash USER=backup PASS=secrets YEAR=2017 wget http://lizzy.local./hoteldruid/crea_backup.php?nome_utente_phpr=...

changing the periods table
I just finished populating hoteldruid with this seasons rates and periods. I now realize that the first period starts 1 day too late. Is there an easy way of moving the period date for a bunch of rates. I'm reluctant to "just try something" as I'm tired and I'm afraid of having to recreate...

Suppress fields in "insert client" page
Hi, I'm starting to use HD for our campground my wife and I bought last year. (And what a long year it's been!) We are in the USA so the "Documents" section distracts our staff taking reservations. I commented out lines 2220-2255 of clients.php so that the "documents" section doe...

Re: bootstrap3 availability page
Wow, 34 views to this post! But sadly, no replies... Anyhow, I will reply to my own post. I dove into the code a tried to understand what was going on in availability_tpl.php. After many, many hours and many false leads I began to put together enough of the database schema to hack up my own php code...

Re: sticking posts and first steps short manual
Hi, Thanks for starting this topic! Much like you, I come from many years of tech work experience. Now my wife and I are buying a caravan park. I prefer to use open source software whenever possible. I find hoteldruid to be the best open source option for us to take reservations. The more I dig thro...

Re: Hoteldruid on Raspberry Pi
You have a very interesting setup! I'm working towards a very similar setup. I have a local install running on a server on my LAN and a remote install running on my webspace. Do you use the hoteldruid's backup and restore to copy your data from the local to remote installs? Or did you write your own...

Re: Hoteldruid on Raspberry Pi
This is really cool to know about! I thought about doing an install on a Beaglebone Black but installed it on a Mac Mini instead. Maybe I'll buy a RPi and move my hoteldruid install onto it.
What database are you using?
Thanks for posting.

bootstrap3 availability page
Hi, I've been playing around with hoteldruid for awhile now and really really like it! I'm a huge fan! Thanks, Marco and team for all your work! I have built a website using bootstrap 3 for the campground my wife and I are buying. I would like to connect this up to a hoteldruid installation I have r...
