Copying PHPResidence

Post by rulez22 »

I've just tryed to copy entire PHPR system to a new hosting company and i got a problem. I've dumped PHPR database, I've created database with the same name on the new hosting, and I've imported everything to the new database through phpMyAdmin. When I'm going to www.myhost.com/php-residence/ it goes to installation process and suggest me to create new database again, but all the information is already there!! What did i do wrong? And how can I set it up?

Hello RULEZ22,

The files of PHPR that you copy on your new system, are they the files that you took on your old system or are they the files of the zip of PHPR ?

Could you look in the file php-residence/dati/dati_connessione.php
if there are all the information about your database and server.

thanks alot Noel! For some reason that directory was empty. I've copied all the files to php-residence\dati\ and changed some settings in php-residence\dati\dati_connessione.php and it works perfect!
Thanks!
